| October 1 Saturday Workshop |
9am-4pm | Well known artist Jim Draper guides participants on a plein air retreat to the Stockton property in Ponte Vedra Beach. Basic Plein air techniques are taught for students with their choice of media. Painting experience is not necessary but helpful. Register at 280-0614 ext 204 or the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. Members: $115 Non-members: $140 Registrations and should be paid before September 16. | ||||||||||||

Public invited. Artists will be painting outdoors all week throughoutt the area. Track artists th rough the internet or on your phone at www.paintingtheregion.com. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is the location for artwork to be displayed as completed and where evening events will be held. These original works will be available for purchase at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach or through this web site. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm. Call in advance to see our Gallery after hours. |

| Wednesday, October 5 | 4pm-7pm | Happy Hour with event artists will be held at The Pier Restaurant and Lounge, 412 1st St. N., Jacksonville Beach. A portion of the evenings proceeds will be donated to support the NFLT. | ||||||||||||
| Thursday, October 6 | 4pm - 7pm | Happy Hour with event artists will be held at Beaches on Vilano Restaurant with live music and sunset on the beach! A portion of the evenings proceeds will be donated to support the NFLT. | ||||||||||||

| Friday, October 7 | 10am-4pm | Public is invited to visit the Stockton Property an watch the artists paint scenes from 40+ acres of natural area. Located just north of the Mickler Beach Parking lot on Ponte Vedra Boulevard(just east of A1A)has ample parking, but no restroom facilities- please use Mickler's Beach Access. Don't forget to drop by the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach and view the paintings from the week's event. . | ||||||||||||
| Saturday, October 8 | 10am-4 pm | Artists painting several locations at the Guana Preserve. Five beach access lots, ocean, marsh, dam'spillway, fishermen, nature trails, etc. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is open to the public for viewing or purchasing any work completed during the week (free). |

| 7:00 pm-10:00 pm | "An Evening of Color" Patron Party You won't want to miss the finale event to the week-long Painting the Region. Saturday evening's"An Evening of Color" showcases the artwork painted "en plein air" by over 43 artists from around the region, capturing on canvas our natural and scenic areas "over the ditch" from Vilano to Mayport. You can take home one of these wonderful paintings to exhibit in your home some of our treasures within North Florida. Join us Saturday evening, 7:00-10:00 pm, for entertainment, hors d'oeuvres and beverages while you view the entire collection of artwork available. Cocktail Attire.
