Painting and Exhibition Details
All artwork to be exhibited in sales events must be completed at the Painting the Regionsm event between October 3-8, 2011.  Artists are encouraged to use economical, quickly assembled framing, but we are not requiring framing if your work (e.g., a gallery-wrap canvas) can be safely secured to a hanging surface via eye-hooks.  This might allow you to adjust your sale prices to better accommodate the recessionary market.

Sales
North Florida Land Trust, Inc., and the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach are 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.   All sales during the week and at the closing celebration will be handled by event staff.  To the extent allowed by law, artists may be entitled to take a tax deduction for the donated forty percent (40%) value of their artwork.  Artists are individually responsible for the Florida sales tax associated with the artist's sixty percent (60%) commissions.  Every effort will be made to disburse the artist's 60% share of sales within ten (10) business days after the closing exhibition, with that date subject to adjust should raindate(s) become necessary.

Artists will retain all unsold artwork from the event and exhibition, but may, at their discretion, list unsold artwork on Painting The Region's official website: www.paintingtheregion.com.  Artwork sold after the event through the website will also be subject to the 40% donation.  If purchased from the website after the exhibition, an email will be forwarded to the artist to ensure the availability of the artwork.  Upon confirmation, the artist will be asked to fulfill the order, with shipping and handling fees added to the purchase price, to be paid by the purchaser. If artwork has been previously sold by artist, we will inform the customer that the painting is no longer available.

Lodging/Transportation/Meals
Event staff is attempting to arrange lodging in area homes available to participating artists at no charge for six (5) nights beginning October 3, 2011. This option only applies to artists themselves, and is subject to availability.  If an artist brings a spouse or child, he/she will be responsible for providing their accommodations.  Please visit our website for an updated list of available hotels and group rates.  If you would like to share a room, please let us know ASAP; we will try and match you with another artist.

Artists are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
